Just as a point of note, the monsters are all written as ‘it’ or the gender neutral pronoun in Chinese, but I feel like (when they’re depicted as human) it’s easier to use universal ‘he’ at times. Please take all of the gender pronouns with a grain of salt. ‘Ta’ (it/ze) just really doesn’t translate well in English.
